What Tabletop Games do you Have?

Creating games is an art form, itself. Playing some games is also an art form. So here is one little place on the internet where we respect the art form of making and playing games, no matter how or where they're played.

What Tabletop Games do you Have?

Postby Rakeela on Fri Apr 10, 2009 8:16 pm

I haven't played any tabletop roleplaying games but D&D (3.5 and 4.0). However, I have a small number of books for different systems. The systems for which I have books are:
D&D 4.0
Unknown Armies
Trail of Cthulhu
MUtants and Masterminds
Ironclaw*
Batman RPG (Seriously)

What systems do other people have the core rulebooks for?

*Edit: Added.

Yeah, but if you're roleplaying at Monopoly, you're getting way too into it. }stongue{

Oh, and I also have Ironclaw, can't believe I forgot that. I've editted my original post accordingly. I hope to find someone who shares some parts of my collection. Maybe I could experiment with forum games.

PM Breimh. He and his housemates demo Jadeclaw and Ironclaw, among other games, and have quite a collection of both systems and their expansion books. You might be able to get them into forum games.

Oh noes...

Up at the top of the screen, look at the second line of links on the left...
User control panel / 0 new messages / view your posts

Click on the '0 new messages' link. Click the 'New PM' button you find there, and go for it. The only thing that caught me with this version of the forums, is after you type in someone's name (like Breimh), you need to click the 'add' button to actually add him as a recipient.

Does that help?

D&D 3.5
Paranoia
Legend of the Five Rings
Fireborn
Chess

I'm planning for Amber Diceless to be the next addition to my tabletop collection, but may go with Unknown Armies instead.

ETA: I found a digital copy of Amber Diceless at Drive-Thru RPG. Next on the acquisition list is Unknown Armies.

I don't think I should actively list out every single tabletop RPG I (and Purrzah) have, since there are over 100 of them here in the apartment. But I will instead mention a few of my favorites to run. (I don't play much, any more, because I haven't found a GM who can really challenge me, as I'm someone who's done gaming for a little over 35 years, now.)

FASA's Star Trek
TSR's Marvel Superheroes
TSR's Top Secret
TSR's Buck Rogers (1st Ed. - pre-THAC0)
Chaosium's Elfquest
Chaosium's Call of Cthulhu
Palladium's TMNT
WEG's Star Wars (just love the Force Die)
AEG's 7th Sea (again, it's the Exploding Die thing)
AEG's Spycraft
WW's Mage: the Awakening/Sorceror's Crusade
Mayfair's DC Green Lantern Corps universe setting
Fantasy Flight's Grimm
Sanguine's Albedo
Sanguine's IronClaw/JadeClaw
Tri-Stat's BESM
SJG's Toon!

It is! It's an exceptional example of fantasy cranked up to 11. It's only real failing is the sheer clunkiness of the combat system.

Being able to punch people through multiple buildings does sorta make up for that, though.
